My name is Maria Papatheodorou. I am a Greek artist based in Munich. My shapes are inspired by my surroundings and Greek roots. My main media are acrylic, aquarella and silver. Lately I have been experimenting with the ancient painting method of tempera.
I am inspired by the beauty of functionality and the banality of the mundane. My signature female silhouette walks through my colourful shapes as we walk through life.
My love for neoclassical doors and steel
I have challenged myself to paint one neoclassical door, window or balcony per day.

Jewellery was the first art I made, as a child. Last year I was inspired to create a series of silver jewellery that resembles the elements I use most in my paintings.
